Friendship Bracelets

On Fridays the seniors and middles have been doing electives this time round was the last time we did them.Lots of my friends have been in friendship bracelets so they made me lists of friendship bracelets.Here is a picture.

Breaking the lock

Today all the year 6 students from kiwi and takahe came into Ruma Kiwi to do an activity with a guest. Our goal was to use all the clues to break our lock. We were in groups of 4 to solve our clues. We were allowed using hints if we tryed really really hard. My group was with Abbey, Georgie and Ruby, we were group yellow. We had to crack the silver and black lock. After that we got a bonus clue to unlock the last padlock to get to the inside of the box. We were times with 45 minutes and there were 7 padlocks. We did it with 6 and a half minutes to spear!!!!

Non-chronological report writing

Mart

On Monday Ruma Kiwi did some mart I guess you are wondering what mart tit is art and maths together the art is made with shapes and we had to measure the shapes.

Instructional Writing

This week in writing the students created instructions for something that they were good at doing or creating. They then had to teach their skill to students from across the senior syndicate. They also at to create google forms to give to their workshopees who attended their lesson to receive feedback. The students had a blast.

Cushion investergation

Yesterday Ruby,Reagan,Paris and I did an investigation on cushions for the classroom we like fatty cushions.

How to make raw blueberry tarts.

Chiara, Freya, Paris, Reagan and Ruby worked together to create well presented and tasty 'Raw Blueberry Tartlets' for the Matariki Celebration. The girls have  created an iMovie to show there learning journey. Please leave the girls a comment.

Fizzy Ballon

On Thursday the 12 of May Ruma Kiwi had our science rotation with Miss Foster. We did the fizzy balloon experiment and it was awesome. We got to see the ballon blow up with sprite!!!!

Teaching Reading

Yesterday Georgie, Jasmine, Chiara and I were teachers for a  20min block. We taught skimming and scanning as a reading strategy.

Our lesson went very well everyone listed and some people thought we were good teachers.
