Matariki

This week it is Matariki! Matariki is the Māori name for the star cluster known as the Pleiades. Traditionally this appears just before dawn in late May or early June and this signals the start of the Māori New Year. Goodwood students will be investigating this and celebrating throughout the week. The senior students will be celebrating this by creating a non cooked savoury or sweet dish on Thursday the 9th of June. They will need to bring their required ingredients and equipment to ensure that their item is successful. They will then be coming together with the rest of the senior team to share their kai.
